THEFT CHARGES

LABOURER REMANDED i —— Thfcec charges of theft were preferred 4 , against Horace Raymond Edlin, labourer, aged 31, in the Police Court yesterday, before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M. Accused'was charged with stealing a gold ring, valued at £2 10s, the property of Rose Petrie, at Warkworth, on March 6, 1937, and a quantity of clothing, the property of Lennox Petrie, at Wellsford on March 5. In the third charge it was alleged that the accused stole a radio set, valued at £24, between December, 1935, and January, 1937, at Wellington. On the first two charges the accused was remanded until Thursday, and on the third charge he was remanded to appear at Wellington on Friday.
