CHESS CHAMPION'S VISIT

The Hungarian chess champion, Mr. Lajos Steiner, gave his final display in New Zealand at PapatoetOe last night He gave a short lecture explaining tho solution of some chess problems and then gave a simultaneous demonstration against 27 players. He won 22 games, lost one game to Mr. G. A. Clarke, of Papakura, a member of the Papatoetoe team, and drew four games these being with Messrs. A. B. Dejlow. C. G. Leonard, A. Me Adam and K. IX Bartley. Mr. Steiner will leave for tjydnej to-morrow on his return to Hungary,
