NEW ZEALAND ART
PAINTINGS EXHIBITED
COMMENDATION IN ENGLAND
LONDON, May 7
The Times, in commenting upon an exhibition of paintings, drawings and sculpture by Empire artists, organised by the Royal British Colonial Society of Artists, says the New Zealand paintings come nearest to the British style, but are of a slightly oldfashioned variety.
A. Elizabeth Kelly's "Wainnnkarua" and Cecil F. Kelly's "Lyttelton Harbour" may be mentioned, adds the Times.
