ST. GEORGE'S CLUB HANDICAP SINGLE SCULLS The final of tho handicap single sculls for the George Cup, presented to the St George's Bowing Club in 1900 by Mr. Sidney Thome George, was contested on Saturday afternoon. There was a jobble on tho water which, however, did not trouble the scullers The contestants were:—ll. Tong, scr, and A. J. Goldfinch, 50s. Tong gained considerably on Goldfinch, but the hitter's handicap was too much for the backmarker to make up, and Goldfinch sculled past tho judge with five lengths to spare. The results of the heats rowed during tho week were:—A. J. Goldfinch, 50s, beat H. Macgregor Ha.v, 455, by ten lengths; V. Sanders, 225, beat T. Kirk, 15s, b.v five lengths; 11. Tong, scr. beat W. Carr. ss, by two lengths; W. Ryan, 20s, beat E. Monds, 53, by several lengths. Semi-finals: Goldfinch heat Sanders by half a canvas, Tong beat Ryan by a length and a-half.
