FOOTBALL GEAR STOLEN

A MAORI CONVICTED [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Monday A Maori from Port Waikato, Puhi Kihi, aged 26, was brought before Messrs. C. K. Lawrie and D. McC. Armstrong, J.P.'s, in the Police Court to-day, charged with the theft of football trousers, stockings and boots, of a total value of £1 2s (3d, at Tuakau on Saturday. it was stated that the stockings and boots had been recovered. Kihi was fined £2 and ordered to make restitution of 4s 6d, the value of the trousers.
