TE KUITI QUOTATIONS LARGE OFFERING OF SHEEP AN EASING IN LAMBS [by telegraph—own correspondent] TE KUITI, Saturday Dalgety and Company, Limited, reports having held its usual fortnightly stock sale at Te Kuiti yesterday. Well over the advertised number of sheep was offered to a good attendance of local buyers. All pens were well filled, and, t although prices wore below recent sales, there was a most satisfactory clearance. Lambs in particular were decidedly easier, but pood sorts of sound-mouth breeding ewes were in Quite good demand and prices for these were firm to slightly better. An average yarding of cattle, mainly Jersey sorts, sold at late rates. MORRINSVILLE SALE The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports as follows on its weekly Morrinsville stock sale held on Friday:—The greater part of the yarding again consisted of unfinished Jersey beef cows, stores and boners. Fat stock reflected the weaker demand evident at this week's Frankton sale and the general range of values decreased to about the same standard. Exporters' cattle likewise were harder to uuit. Most vendors, however, sold. In the sheep section rates were maintained at the realisations of the previous week. Pig values were a shade easier. A medium number of mostly porkers was entered. The demand was <iuite good at the lower standard set. NGARUAWAHIA SALE The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports on its Ngaruawahia stock sale, held on Friday, as follows:—The entry was a moderate one only. Good quality fat cattle were comparatively scarce, but medium conditions to unfinished sorts were plentiful. Business was transacted at the lower levels of this week's Tuesday Frankton stock sale. The entire yarding changed hands. A few bulls brought schedule rates under a good competition, while a satisfactory sale resulted for a small offering of dairy cows. NGONGOTAHA REPORT The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports having held its usual stock sale at Ngongotaha last week, when a full yarding of cattle came forward. The yarding was mostly light-weight and boner cows, for which competition was good, prices showing no alteration on late rates. A smaller yarding of pigs sold at unchanged rates. Only a small entry of sheep which realised ruling market rates. The bulk of the yarding consisted of dairy sorts, which sold under keen competition at fully late rates, but lower than previous local sales. However, a total clearance was effected in the cattle section. Sheep were penned in small numbers. Quotations: —Fat cows, £4 14s to £7; good condition cows, £2 5s to £3 Is; store cows, 31s to £2; boner cows, 15s to 255; Jersey steers, to £4 7s; potter bulls, £3 to £4 10s; small potter bulls, 15s to £2 10s; aged ewes, to 18s; mixed sex lambs, 14s lOd to 17s; cull lambs, to 12s.
