CORONATION OATH

CONSTITUTIONAL POSITION CHANGES IN PHRASEOLOGY LONDON, Feb. 17 "Changes in the King's coronation oath occur almost entirely in that seqtion having purely political significance. Thoy were riiado to avoid possible misunderstandings in the Dominions concerning the new constitutional position," wrote the secretary to the Prime Minister in a letter to Mr. Longbottom, a minister and leader of the Liverpool Protestant Reformers. "Some small rearrangement in phraseology has been effected in the last section of the oath, dealing with maintenance of the Protestant reformed religion and settlement of the Church of England," tho letter continued. ''The form of the oath will be published before the coronation." Mr. Longbottom urges that any alteration to tha oath affecting the Protestant settlement should be published as soon as possible.
