VICTORIA CRUISING CLUB ANNUAL REGATTA TO-MORROW DECLARATION OF HANDICAPS The Victoria Cruising Club will hold its annual regatta to-morrow afternoon. Races will be held for all classes from H to Z, and also launches and naval whalers. In addition to the usual race for class V, the inter-club contest for ,tho Clare Rose Bowl will be decided. Following are the courses:— No. 1 Course.—From starting line round Resolution buoy (port), thence round White Light in Rangitoto Channel (starboard), buck round Resolution buoy (starboard), round black buoy off Birkenhead (port), and finish at starting line. No. 2 Course.—From starting line off Westem Reclamation to Rona buoy (starboard), thence round mark in Shoal Bay (starboard), and across to mark laid half-way between the Watchman and Shelly Beach Baths (port), round flacship (port), twice round. Z class, once round only. Course for V, M and S Classes.—From starting line off Western Reclamation, thcnco to Sandspit starboard hand, thence to Resolution buoy (starboard), back to Sandspit (port), thence to Rona buoy (port), thcnco to finishing line Launch Courso. —From starting line off Western Reclamation to Sandspit mark, Ihunco round Rona buoy to finishing line. ANNUAL OCEAN RACE BALOKOVIC CUP CONTEST The annual ocean race for the Balokovic Cup for keel yachts will start from Judges Bav this evening at 7.30 o'clock, ihe courso is "from starting line, thence round Canoe Rock, on starboard, thence round Channel Island Light, on starboard, thenco round luhina Island (Cow), off Coromaadc , on starboard, finishing at Matiatia, between the southern point of the bay and mark moored north, a distance of 94 miles. The entries are:—hgatoa, Rambler, Windward, Ngahau, Silver Cloud, lona, Tamui, Tawhiri, Roiaata. Tho handicaps will be declared to-day. ... . The Akarana Yacht Club, which is controlling the Balokovic Cup contest, will hold a cruising race for keel yachts to Matiatia to-morrow. The course is from the clubs usual starting place, thence out through Kangitoto Channel and round Rangitoto and Motutapu Island, as far as Billygoat Point, thence round Motuihi Island (in either direction), thence to Matiatia, finishing between mark boat and southern point of the bay, a distance of 23 miles. The race will start at 2.20 p.m. Following are'the entries:—Altair, Pen, Maybelle, Owhanga, Dorothy, Valdora. Tho handicaps will be declared to-morrow. MANUKAU YACHT CLUB OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS The annual open championships of the Manukau will be held to-morrow under the control of the Manukau Yacht and MotorBoat Club. The following events will be decided: — Z Class Championship, to start at 2 p.m. —Course: Start between clubhouse and buoy moored west, thence round black buoy off Mangere beacon (starboard), thence round fifth red buoy (starboard), thence round buoy ofT clubhouse (starboard), thenco round black buoy off Mangcre beacon (starboard), thence round fifth red buoy (starboard), thence round black buoy off Mnngere beacon (port), finishing between clubhouso and buoy moored west. Entries: Tua Tea, Comet. Sweepstake Race for Yachts, to start at 2.30 p.m.—Course: Start between clubhouse and buoy moored west, thence between Mangero beacon and black buoy, thence round sixth red buoy (no gybing at this mark), thence between Mangere beacon and black buoy, finishing between clubhouse and buov moored west. Turning marks must be kept on starboard, except sixth red buoy and black buoy last time up, this latter mark to be kept on port. All turning marks must be kept on starboard, except black buoy last time up, this mark to be kept on port. Entries: Open championship: Aoma, Atalanta, Mystic, 18-Foot championship: Main, Atalanta, Ranui, Mystic. Speedboat Championship, to start at 4 p.m.—Courso as supplied. Venus is tho only ontry.
