SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP TO-MORROW'S FIXTURES EDEN TO PLAY UNIVERSITY The senior championship of the Auckland Cricket Association is in an interesting state at present, and a large amount of interest should centre in the series of matches to be commenced to-morrow. The principal attraction at Eden Park will be the meeting of Eden nnd University on No. 1 wicket. An interesting struggle should be witnessedj as the teams are evenly matched. Bright batting should bo provided by the leading Eden batsmen, particularly G. L. Weir and W. Carson, who are in excellent form. The strong University attack will be fully tested against Eden's batting array. Parnoll and Y.M.C.A. will meet on No. 2 wicket at Eden Park. Both teams have shown unreliable form this season, but Parnell appears the stronger combination on paper. However, Y.M.C.A. gave an improved display against Ponsonby in tho last series, and it should be capable of providing strong opposition to Parnoll. Grafton, which is lying second on the championship table, two points behind North Shore, will play King's Old Boys on No. 3 wicket. Grafton, which is a solid all-round side, should have an advantage in this match. North Shoro will be opposed to Ponsonby at Devonport. Ponsonby will be keen to lower the colours of the championship leaders, but it will be facing a difficult task. Lower grade competitions will be continued.
