Mr. Alan Mulgan, superintendent of talks for the national broadcasting service, left for Wellington by the limited express last evening,
Mr. L. L. Macey, superintending'-en-gineer of the Post and Telegraph Department, Auckland, returned by train from Wellington yesterday.
Captain T. J. Watts, secretary and advisory superintendent of the United Fire Brigades' Association, returned from the South on Saturday.
Mr. H. H. Watkins, secretary and engineer of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board, left for Wellington by the limited express last evening.
Mr. P. J. Hunter, formerly master-at-arms in H.M.S. Philomel, left by the limited express last evening to take up a Government position in the South Island.
Sir Clutha Mackenzie, director of tho Blind Institute, left Wellington for England by the Rangitane last week. He will visit blind institutes in England and on the Continent.
Mr. H. S. S. Kyle. M.P. for Riccarton, left bv train for Hamilton on Saturday morning. Ho will return to Auckland to-day prior to joining the afternoon express for the South.
Mr. A. W. Dingle, formerly ground engineer to the Canterbury Aero Club, who has been appointed chief ground engineer to the Wairarapa Club, was farewelled recently by officers and members of the former club.
Mr. Frank Goldberg, of Sydney, governing director of the Goldberg Advertising Agency, who has been visiting Britain and the United States, is a passenger by the Aorangi, due at Auckland from Vancouver to-day.
Dr. Hardwick Smith, of Wellington, has arrived in Auckland to attend the 10th antfual meeting of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, commencing to-morrow. Dr. Smith, who is accompanied by Mrs. Smith, is at the Grand Hotel.
Dr. H. Poate, of Sydney, a member of the council of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and Mrs. Poate, are at the Grand Hotel. Dr. Poate will attend the 10th annual meeting of the college, which commences in Auckland to-morrow.
Dr. R. A. Scott, of the Department of Agriculture. Tasmania, who has been attending the Science Congress, .left by the limited express last evening for Palmerston North, where he intends visiting the Massey Agricultural College. he will visit the Lincoln Agricultural College, Christehurch
