REORGANISED BOARD

FINANCIAL INSTITUTION MR. J. S. BARTON'S STATEMENT {BY TET.EGRAPH PRKSS ASSOCIATION'] WELLINGTON, Saturday In a reference to the reorganisation of the board of directors of the New Zealand Investment Trust, Mr. J. S. Barton to-day made the following statement: —- "There is only one aspect of the matter to which I would like to refer at present. The change-over represents a change in investment policy, and in tho personnel of the directorate, involving the.retirement of certain directors. It is certainly due to these retiring directors to say that, having announced a reversal of the investment policy followed by them in a very difficult financial period, there remains no further ground of criticism of their actions. They retire with clean records. "The new directors must confer with them and seek their help in picking up the threads, and in these conferences all will meet in the common standing of men of business integrity and honour, working toward a common end."
