GALLOI'S ON GRASS KELLY'S FIVE FURLONGS TWO-YEAR-OLDS SHOW PACE There was some interesting work at Kllerslio on Saturday, when the No. 2 grass, with the poles Gl't. out, was available for galloping. As a result of overnight rain the going was soft. Speed fast (Coon) completed his task with three furlongs in 'l2 4-ss. Lone Klier covered the same grtfund in 39 4-5s and was running on nicely at the end.

Avmon (Vaughan), Tybalt (Cameron) and Huntsman's Chorus (Tiemain) were in that order at the end of six furlongs in 1.18 2-5, the last three in 39 l-ss. All did their work well.

Knight of Australia (Coon) and Salva (Wiggins) were almost on terms at the end of six furlongs in 1.20 1-5, the last three in 39 4-ss. Both were running on well. Valspear (Jenkins) was let off with an easy six furlongs in 1.27 1-5. Ho is in great heart and should soon make amends for his recent failures. Round Up and Glen Abb Fleotwind (Gilchrist) galloped in her best style over half-a-mile in 50 2-ss, a smart effort. Orefield decisively beat Miss Appellant over five furlongs in I.C 1-5. fiaputale (Gilchrist) and Overdue (Clarke) ran three furlongs smartly in 38 3-ss. Back block (Kearns) was not extended while running half-a-mile in 53 2-ss. lllimani beat Chief Emerald over six furlongs in 1.22. Round Up (Green) and Glen Abb (Wiggins) were together at the end of half-a-mile in 51 3-ss. Glen Abb continues to show promise.

After running tho first two in 25 l-ss, Kelly (Gilchrist) was in front of Gold Pocket (Vaughan) at the end of five furlongs in 1.4. Kelly had an advantage in the weights and Cold Pocket worked soundly. Assisted over tho last five furlongs by Prince Colossus (Fergus) in 1.7 2-5, Gay JBroney (Tremain) and Ringshot (Murray) covered a round in 1.47 3-5. Gay Broney is thriving on his work and Ringshot is also making good progress. The two-year-olds Nuclei (Murray) and White Foam (Gilchrist) sprinted half-a-mile smartly in 50 3-ss. They were accompanied over tho last three furlongs by Bright Idea (Cameron) in 37 2-ss. Survoy Beats Manatere Tide waiter ' (Green) and Master Brierly (Vaughan) were in front of Raepata (Wiggins) at the completion of five furlongs in 1.5 2-5. Silver Sonne! (Murray) placed three furlongs behind in 40 4-ss. Crooning (Goldfinch) gave Valise (Murray) a start and a beating over six furlongs in 1.18, Valise taking 1.19. High Star (Fergus) sprinted three furlongs in 40s. Survoy (Murray) beat Manatere (Goldfinch) over five furlongs in 1.5. Survoy continues to work in his best style. Mainland covered six furlongs in 1.18 4-5, the last three in 39 2-ss. She looks bright and well. School Song (Fear.n) and Royal Broney (Jenkins) sprinted half-a-mile in 52 4-ss, Lady Defoe taking 52 3-ss. Seven Seas (Gilchrist) ran six furlongs in 1.21 1-5, the last three in 40 l-ss. The Survey-Llanore filly placed half-a-mile behind in 52 2-ss. On the two-year-old track the Bronze Eagle—Lady Robinson filly sprinted a furlong along tho back in 13 4-ss. It was her first serious work and she went in good style. United (Turvey) jumped four hurdles in satisfactory manner.

Carshalton (Turveyj was schooled over the steeplechase fences on the flat, neg< Gating tho double and stonewall twic-j. He jumped well for a beginner. Carshalton afterwards covered a round on the No. 2 grass in 1.54, the last six furlongs in 1.24 1-5.
