STATE COACH
HENOV AT 10 N HAND PREPARING FOR CORONATION British Wireless RUGBY, Jan. 13 The regilding and renovating of the 176-years-old State coach in which the King and Queen will drive to Westminster Abbey for the coronation, is being undertaken. The work will take seven weeks to complete.
ISSUE OF NEW COINS KING'S INTEREST IN DESIGN LONDON, Jan. 13 The King gave an audience to an official of the Royal Mint, to-day regarding the design of the new coinage, which it is hoped will be issued before the coronation. When the new coins were being prepared for Edward VIII., he asked for more modern designs. It is unlikely that the new coinage will be notably different from that of King George V.
