ARABS AND JEWS

HOSTILE ATTITUDE CONFERENCE PLAN SCOUTED DECLARATION BY WITNESS By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received January 14, 5.5 p.m.) JERUSALEM, Jan. 13 In reply to the suggestion by Earl Peel, chairman of the Royal Commission in Palestine, for a round-table conference between the Arabs and the Jews, an Arab witness before the commission to-day stated that no Arab would sit at a table with anyone who called himself a Jew. The witness added that there was nothing to justify the British Government in giving away other people's property to strangers. The Arabs would refuse to give up one foot of land to the Jews.
