WEDDING

CLARK-BURNETT An attractive wedding was celebrated at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church last evening, when Miss Hettie Kerr Burnett,- elder daughter of Mr. H. B. Burnett, of Great South Road, Remuera, was married to Mr. Trevor Leonard Clark, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Clark, of Epsom. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. A. Thomson, assisted by the Rev. Harold B. Burnett, moderator of the Taranaki Presbytery. The bride 'was given away by her father, who is moderator of the Auckland Presbytery.

The bridal gown, of pearl pink souple satin, was cut on close-litting lines, with a train at the back. The bodice was made with a calyx collar and trimmed at back and front with small buttons of the same material, as also were the long, full sleeves. Her veil of pearl pink tulle was shirred at the back and caught to the head with orange blossoms, and she carried a sheaf of pearl pink gladioli. The bridesmaids, Miss Anne Burnett and Miss Jen Seymour, wore frocks of apricot satin, made with puff sleeves and high collars. _ They wore caps of matching tulle, trimmed with apricot flowers and made with small visors of stiffened tulle, and each carried a bouquet of ( rosebuds and cainations in apricot tonings. The best man was Mr. F. Clark, and Mr. Keith Lamb was groomsman. The ushers were Mr. Peter Hunter, Mr. Max Bay and Mr. R. Cameron. At the reception which the guests were received by the bride s aunt, Mrs. A. H. Bull, who wore a gown of black treebark crepe with a matching hat and a bouquet in cyclamen and lilac shades. Airs. L. Clark, mother of the bridegroom, was in brown embossed velvet with a hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers.
