NORTH ISLAND TITLES RESULTS FROM WELLINGTON [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLIXOTOX, Thursday The North Island croquet tournament was continued to-day in fine weather before .a large attendance of spectators. In the open championship Mrs. W. E. Caldow (Wellington) beat F. L. Hurtncll (New Plymouth), 26—22, 25—26, 26 —23; Miss K. Washer (Patea) beat Mrs. E. Bartlett (Auckland), 26—!•">. 9—26, 2G—l2; and Mrs. Caldow beat N. .Tarvie (Wanganui), 26—8, 26—10. In the final of the handicap doubles, Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Bennett (Hastings) beat Mrs. Culdow and Mrs. M. Beveridgo (Wellington), 26—19.
