THEFT OF JEWELLERY
MONTE CARLO CRIME AUSTRALIAN GIRL'S LOSS (Received January 1, 5.5 p.m.) MONTE CARLO, Jan. 3 Thieves stole £2OOO worth of jewellery from the hotel bedroom of Miss Jean Haekett, aged 27. daughter of the late Sir AVinthrop Haekett, formerly of Australia. Miss Haekett's bedroom door was forced during dinner and a leather suitcase containing the jewellery was ripped open.
