ELDERLY WOMAN HURT
STRUCK BY MOTOR-TRUCK struck by a motor-truck at tlie corner of Hobson Street and Victoria Street West shortly before six o'clock last evening an elderly woman, Mrs. Violet Rculston, of •'} Riordan's Lane, Nelson Street, suffered concussion, severe head injuries and lacerations. 'he truck, which was driven by Mr. Jolni James Sutton, dealer, of 28 Graham Street, was proceeding up Hobson Street 'nto Victoria Street and it is stated Mrs. Roulston was struck by the rear part of the vehicle as it passed her. i,lr s. Roulston was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. Rer condition last night was serious. girl seriously injured Knocked down by motor-cycle . Concussion, facial abrasions and an injury to the right hip were suffered by ijiss Evelyn Hughes, aged 24, of 70 Hepburn Street, Ponsonby, when she was knocked down hy a motor-cycle in Ponsonby Road yesterday afternoon when returning home from work. She *as taken in a St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, where her condition was reported last night to be serious.
