MOTOR-CYCLE MISHAP
COLLISION WITH CAR RIDER FRACTURES LEG [by tklegraph—own co it it kspondent] PUKEKOHE, Satuiday When his motor-cvclo skidded on the wet road and crashed into a motorcar on a bend of the Great South Road near Pokeno 011 Thursday afternoon Mr. Ronald George Becston, aged 21, of 16 Ara Street, Remuera, suffered a fracture of the right leg. After treatment by Dr. F. W. Lumsden, of Pukekolie, lie was conveyed to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John smbulance. A pillion passenger, 'Miss Beryl Joy McDougall, of 30 Grey Street West, Onehunga, was thrown over Mr. Beeston's shoulder and struck the road, but suffered only abrasions. None of the three persons travelling in the car, which was driven by Mr. James Hamilton, of Takapuna, \jas injured. The front wheel of the motor-cycle snapped off, and the running-board of the car was damaged.
