FUTURE FIXTURES NEW YORK WORLD FAIR TRAVELLING SHOW BOAT DATA FOR AUSTRALIA By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received December 30, 6.30 p.m.) NEW YORK. Dec. 29 It is understood that the Australian Government has been invited to participate in two important international exhibitions and that data have been forwarded to Canberra. The first is the New York World Fair, to be held in 1939. This will be one of the most ambitious undertakings in the history of America. The aim is to make a possible Australian court of a fairly ambitious nature. It. is believed that it will be costly but the exhibition is expected to attract 50,000,000 visitors. The second exhibition is the International Show Boat. This is an AngloAmerican concern which contemplates the purchase, of a 20.000-ton liner to be converted into an enormous floating exposition for British and Dominion goods. The boat, will visit 110 world ports in H 0 months. Both exhibitions arc to be accompanied by officials to take orders for goods.
