SCOTTISH ROLL OF ARMS

Sir, —I see in your issue of December 28 that Mr. W. L. Kennedy, of Stratford, lias generously given his copy of "The Roll of Scottish Arms" to the Taranaki Museum. He says that he believes it to be the only copy in New Zealand. That is not quite correct as I know of two —one which I own, and the other belongs to a cousin of mine in Dunedin. The copies were sent to my father and his brother, who were nephews of David Laing, LL.D., who edited the work. The original cost of the book was £25. H.L.
