OBITUARY

MR. E. S. WIGHT MY. E. S. Wight, whoso death has occurred at Waerenga, was for a number of years managing-director of Pnkemiro Collieries, Limited, and was ;i director of the company at the time of liis death. More recently lie had lived at Rcmuera, but prior to that he was a resident of Stanley Bay, where he interested himself keenly in the Stanley Bay Park proposal. Ho was elected chairman of the park committee in 191(3, when the scheme was in its initial stages. Mr. Wight was a keen bowler and was a member at dill'erent times of the Stanley, Devonport and Remuera clubs. He is survived by Mrs. Wight and by a son and a daughter.

PRINS [raoxi our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday The death occurred in Hamilton this morning of Dr. Henry Mai lock Prins. superintendent of the Tokanui Mental Hospital, at the aged of 59 years. l)r. Prins was born in Christ-church and was superintendent at Tokanui for the past, seven years. He was a keen angler and stamp collector. For many years he served as a lay reader in the Church of England. He is survived by his ■wife and two sonti. MR. A. R. Ho served in the Great War. Ho is survived by a widow ami family of six children. MRS. MARGARET PROUSE [HY TKI.EORAPI1 —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CIIRISTCH UlH'll, Wednesday The death has occurred of Mrs. Margaret Prouse, one of the oldest New Zealand-born pioneers. She was born at Petone in 1811. Her parents. Mr. and Mrs. D. Dick, arrived in Wellington by the ship Bengal Merchant in ISIO. /
