Two Australian riders, Melhuish and Duggan, Rave disappointing displays. In the Koscoe Handicap, open, of one mile, Melhuish was third in his heat. Dugp:ui won his heat, hut neither .survived the .semi-finals. The experts' points race, in which S. Rhodes, of Christchnrch, met the Australians, was won easily hy Uhodes, Melhuish being second. The time, was lm 'JI -l-.'is. Another experts' points race was won by Duggall, Dumpleton. C'h.ristcliurcli, being second, and Melhuish third. The time was lm 'J."> 4-ss. The third experts' points race was won by Melhuish. Duggau and Forbes did not finish.
