FRENCH ASSURANCES

AGREEMENT ON DEFENCE SATISFACTION IN BRITAIN (Received Docember 7, 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY. Dec. 6 The assurances given on Friday by the French Foreign Minister, M. Delbos, that all the forces of France by land, sea and air would immediately bo used for the defence of Britain against unprovoked aggression have been received in Britain with great satisfaction. It is noted that the full definition of the French attitude by M. Delbos, like that offered in regard to the British attitude by the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Eden, in recent speeches, is in accord with the March agreement, and that there is nothing exclusive in either statement.
