PIRATE SHIP

Palm-fringed shores, a moonlit sky. a fair senorita loaning on a balcony nnd a handsome don serenading her from below, formed a very attractive setting for the "La Serenata " oldtime carnival dance, held at the Pirate Ship oil Saturday night. Cut-out favours of mandolins adorned tlie cubicles and pillars, while fairy lights and coloured lanterns lent a festive air. The musical programme was in keeping with the title of the carnival, and was rendered by the popular Pirate Shi]) Band. Among the large number of guests were many from the South and from overseas.
