REQUEST FROM TAURANGA £BY TELEGRAPH!—OWN COIUIF.STONnF.NT] TAURANGA, Sunday In a letter to Mr. C. H. Burnett, M.P., the Minister of Railways, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, states that in regard to the proposed Paeroa-Pokeno railway a report has been called for, and when this is to hand the matter will receive the full consideration of the Government. Regarding the provision of railears on the Frankton Junction-Taneatna line, the Minister states that as more of these units become available, the question of placing them in different localities will be considered, according to their suitability for meeting the requirements of each district, and in this connection the representations of the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce will not be overlooked.
