MR. NASH IN LONDON AUDIENCE WITH THE KING LONDON. Nov. 17 The New Zealand Minister of Finance, Mr. Walter Nash, was received in audience by King Edward to-day. BEEF TRADE DISCUSSED POLICY OF BRITAIN [BY TELEGRAPH —PRSS3 ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday Tho following cablegram relative to the activities in London of the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, was received to-day by the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage:— "Since his arrival Mr. Nash has been engaged in discussion with British Ministers —Mr. Malcolm Mac Donald, Secretary of State for the Dominions, Mr. Walter Runeiman, President of the Board of Trade, and Mr. W. S. Morrison, Minister of Agriculture—on the Government's policy in respect to beef imports. Discussion has centred around a proposal which the British Government is formulating in respect of its import policy for the next four years.

"Mr. Nash has been accompanied by Mr. T. A. Duncan, chairman of the New Zealand Meat Board, and officials of the Government and the boax - d. Discussion will continue during this week. "Lord Balfour of Burleigh, who is leaving on December 2 on a visit to New Zealand, called on Mr. Nash today (Monday) and had two hojirs' conversation on the chief features of the New Zealand Government's policy, particularly in respect of banking and credit."
