ANNUAL LADIES' NIGHT

MATAMATA ORPHANS' CLUB The Matamata Orphans' Club closed its season on Saturday with the annual ladies' night, held in the local Town Hall. The stage and hall were decorated to convey a Chinese atmosphere and officials and stewards wore Chinese costumes. The following contributed to the programme:—Messrs. H. Richards, K. and S. Cox (Devonport), J, H. Thomas (Rotorua), G. J'eters and .). Wooleridgo (Cambridge). J. J. Coulter and the Matamata Orphans' Quartette. -Mr. Wilbert Marks was the chairman and was assisted by i\ir. H. E. Schofiekl.
