GOOD HACK PROSPECT ROLLICKER'S RECENT FORM Up to the present the three-year-old Rollicker has had very little racing, but he has been second at his last two starts, being beaten by a neck by Queen Nona over seven furlongs at Avondale and by a similar margin Ijy Gay Talkie over a mile at-Ellerslio. His form has been most encouraging and ho will disappoint if he fails to win very soon. Rollicker, who is a half-brothor, by Hunting Song, to High Comedy and Light Comedy, appears nicely placed in the Trial Stakes at Te Itapa on Saturday and what beats him should win. SHADOW KING'S ROLES CUP HORSE TO CHARGER A police trooper at Flcmington on Melbourne Cup Day was received with applause when he made his appearance on the course. However, the greeting was not for the man, but his charger. This was none other than Shadow King, who holds the records of having been weighted for seven successive Melbourne Cups and of having the best placed performances in tho race. From 1929 onward, he ran sixth, third, second, third and second. He did not start in 1934, owing to soreness, but last year he ran fourth. It was declared before the race that that would be his last appearance, but ho was ablo to reappear on a day ho had graced many times, if only as a trooper's horso.
