TOURIST LINER
STRATHNAVER TO-MORROW MANY VISITS PLANNED Due to berth at Princo's Wharf about 2.30 to-morrow afternoon the large P. and O. liner Strathnaver is bringing 885 passengers, most of whom are Australians, on a cruise to New Zealand. The ship left Brisbane for Auckland on Tuesday morning. Comprehensive touring itineraries have been arranged by tho Government Tourist Bureau and passengers will be afforded excellent opportunity of visiting tho most interesting parts of the North Island. To ensure the minimum of delay three representatives of the bureau are travelling on tho liner. The tours include day trips to Rotorua by motor and rail and two-day trips to Rotorua and tho Waitomo Caves. These passengers will rejoin the ship before she leaves hero for Wellington at midnight on Saturday. For those, who wish to spend tho full possible time ashoro there will be rail and motor journeys embracing calls at Rotorua, Wairakei, Taupo, Waitomo Caves, the Chateau Tongariro. New Plymouth, Wanganui and Napier. Tourists choosing these trips will rejoin the Strathnaver at Wellington on Monday. In addition to the inland tours comprehensive sightseeing trips in Auckland and Wellington have been arranged.
