bay of islands branch [by TKr.KCJKAPH —OWN COKIIICSI'ONnENT] OHAKAWAI, Tuesday A meeting of schoolteachers in the 13av of Islands area, held at Ohaeawai on Saturday, agreed to form a subbranch of tho New Zealand Education Institute. The chairman, Mr. Boswell reviewed the institute's work, and a summary of the position with reference to the aims of tho Minister 1 of Education. A provisional executive was formed, with tho following .officers: —President. Mr. Boswell; secretary and treasurer. Miss Bains; committee, Messrs. Harris, Oliver, Brewer, Stewart and Johnson.
