MEN JUMP FROM WINDOW TWO CHARGED IN COURT Although ho broke his log when he jumped 18ft. ou to a corrugated iron roof when the National Sporting Club, Swanson Street, was raided by detectives last Friday night, Nicholas Jack Logpur, a Dalmatian picture framer, aged 44, was able to appear in the Police Court yesterday. The broken leg was wooden. \Vith another Dalmatian, Jack .Marino, beauty parlour operator, aged 38, lie pleaded guilty to a charge of being found in a common gaming houso without lawful excuse. Detective-Sergeant Meiklejohn said that when the building was raided Detective Brady saw four men leave a back window and jump about 18ft. on to a corrugated iron roof. Three of the men escaped, including the accused. Already (57 men had been charged, and these were the 68th and 89th, but the 70th man was not known. Logpur had a wooden leg, which lie said was broken when he fell oil to the roof in the back yard. Kadi man was fined i'-.
