METHODIST SYNOD

MINISTERIAL SESSION The ministerial session of the Auckland Methodist Synod opened in tho Pitt Street Church yesterday morning. The Rev. E. D. Patchett presided. Matters relating to the Trinity I heological College were presented hv the principal, the Rev. l)r H. Ranston. Five students, Messrs. J. Churchill, W. R. Francis, I?. W. Mayson, L. T. Norwell aiifl G. Sanft, were designated lor appointment to circuit work. The Revs. G. Everil Orr and R. E. Patchett. liaviiior completed their probationary course, were recommended for ordination at the conference to bo held in Auckland in February, while Messrs. L. R. M. Gilmorc and L. A. Dayman, who presented themselves as candidates for the ministry, were recommended lor training. . The representative sessions of the svnod will cbninienco this morning.
