AREA AT PAPATOETOE ERECTION OF TRAFFIC SIGNS Recommendations by representatives of tho Transport Department and the Automobile Association (Auckland) regarding the erection of traffic signs in PapaAoetoe district were submitted last night at the Papatoetoe Town Board meeting It was reported that m conformity -with the wishes of the Alinister of Transport, the Hon. R. Seniplo, it was proposed to erect signs, restricting the 30 miles an hour limit within the town boundaries in respect of the actual built-up district. The representatives recommended that signs should be erected on the Great South Road and Central Avenue intersection and the south end and near the Presbyterian Church at the north; on Carruth Road and Birdwood Avenue, and opposite Tremain's garage on Station Road West.

After discussion it was decided to suggest the following slight alterations: —Tho southern sign on the Great South Road to be erected at Birdwood Avenue instead of Central Avenue, and the Station Road West point to be Peveril Crescent instead of Tremain's garage
