THREE PITCAIRN ISLANDERS VISITORS TO WELLINGTON [by telegraph—own con respondent] WELLINGTON, Tuesday Three descendants of the Bounty mutineers were callers at the Wellington placement office last week. They were Mr. Joseph C hristian, sixth descendant of Fletcher Christian, and two brothers who arc descendants of a midshipman who joined the mutineers. The three men recently arrived from Pitcairn Island. They, said they had left their island home as they had a keen desire to see a big city, and to earn a little money to buy things which they could not obtain on the island. Work was found for Mr. Christian within a day or so after he had called at the placement office. It is hoped to find suitable positions for the other two men shortly.
