HIGHER SALARIES PROBABLE REDUCTION FOR CHANCELLOR LONDON, Nov. 12 During the House of Commons debate to-day on the Address-in-Reply, satisfaction was expressed at tho docision to increase the Prime Minister's salary and equally at those of other Cabinet Ministers. It is likely that the Prime Minister will receive £BOOO a year, and that the salaries of other Ministers will be made uniform at £SOOO a year. This will mean that Mr. Baldwin will receive an increase of £3OOO, while the Lord Chancellor, Viscount Hailsham, .will suffer a reduction of £SOOO. His present salary of £IO,OOO a year is the highest of any Minister. The change will also give increases jbf £3OOO to seven Ministers, and of j£looo to two others.
