Mr. H. W. Frost returned to Auckland by the Awatea from Sydney y eß . tcrday. The Hon. H. G. R. Mason, Minister of Justice, left for Wellington by train last night. Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., of Welling, ton, was a passenger from the South by train yesterday. Mr. W. J. Lyon and Mr. J. Robertson, M.P.'s, left by the limited express for Wellington last night. Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Brown, formerly of Auckland, who have spent the last few voars in Sydney, have returned to New Zealand and are visiting Auckland. Mr. R. A. Falla, ornithologist to the Auckland War Memorial Museum, and Mrs. Falla will leave by the Awatea today on a short holiday trip to Sydney and Melbourne. Mr. F. E. Hughes, a director of Amalgamated Dairies, Limited, returned from Sydney by the Awatea yesterday, after attending a conference of Empire Dairies, Limited. Mr. J. H. Bevan, manager for Australia and New Zealand of the Neiinhatel Asphalt Company, Limited, arrived from Sydney by the Awatea yesterday. He is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. Justice Smith arrived from Wellington yesterday to sit in the Supreme Court in Auckland during the absence of Mr. Justice Callan, who is to preside at the Hamilton scssionii, opening today. Mr. M. R. Hornibrook. of Brisbane, managing director of M. R. Hornnrook Proprietary, Limited, who has been inquiring into the Auckland harbour bridge project, will leave for Sydney by the Awatea to-day. Sir Arthur Richards arrived by the Awatoa yesterday on his way to take up the position of Governor of Fiji and High Commissioner for the Western Pacific. He is accompanied by Lady Richards and their three children and his aide-de-camp. Captain P. Jeffs. They are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. J. S. Dawes, president, and Mr. J. A. C. A Hum, vice-president, of the Auckland Provincial Employers' Association, left last night for Wellington to attend the annual meeting of the New Zealand Employers' Federation. Mr. W. E. Anderson, secretary of the association, is already in Wellington.
