VETERANS ENTERTAINED

VICTORIA LEAGUE GIRLS The entertainment circle of the Victoria League Girls' Committee visited the Veterans' Homo on Wednesday evening. A varied and interesting programme was presented by Miss Ela Hutchison. Chorus numbers were given by Misses Peggy Cooper, Betty BoydLeslie, Jean Henson, Mizpah Hutchison, Rewa Henley and June Beale. A playette produced and played by the Misses Mary and Peggi Cruickshank was much appreciated. Other items included pianoforte solos by Miss Edwina Foote; sketches by Misses Louise Jourdain, Doreen Saunders, Margaret Parkinson and Beatrice Lowe; songs by Misses Ela Hutchison, Edwina Foote, Phyllis Renner, and Mrs. Humfrey Gordon; a classical dance by Joan Charlton, Marjorie Sherlock, Kewa Henley, Allison Laery, Kay Spriggs and Jean Thomson and tap dances by Jean Thomson.
