Tait. SOUTH AUCKLAND MEETING [by telegraph OWN correspondent] HUNTLY, Wednesday A meeting of Rugby League officials and delegates from the South Auckland district met last evening at Huntly. Mr. H. T. Hill (Taupiri) presided. The president of the New Zealand Rugby League, Mr. C. Sneddon, addressed the meeting and pointed out the advisability of making the South Auckland League an incorporate body. It was decided to take immediate steps in this direction. In connection with the proposed new playing fields at Huntly, a preliminary expenditure for improvements of about £IOOO will be made. This will carry a pound for pound subsidy. A lease of 20 acres in a central part of the town has been obtained for 21 years.
