MAJOR POINTS IN DISPUTE CONCILIATION HEARING [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday The manufacturers' section of the Wellington clerical workers' dispute was resumed in the Conciliation Council before the commissioner, Mr. M. J. Reardon. It was agreed that there should be no reduction in wages and that no employee should be discharged so that his work might be done by a lower-paid worker. Every casual worker is to be Eaid 20 per cent above the weekly rate, othing in the award is to apply to executive ojfficers receiving more than £4OO a year.

No major clauses were agreed to. Clauses governing wages, hours of work and holidays were referred to the Arbitration Court for settlement.
