Wiljs (New Zealand), Limited, tobacco manufacturers, of Petone, and the National Tobacco Company, Limited, of Port Ahuriri, Napier, were respondents. it was agreed that 40 hours shall constitute the week's work and there shall be no work on Saturdays. Overtime was agreed upon at the rate of time and a-half for the first four hours and double time thereafter. The parties agreed also that pay-day shall be not later than Thursday of each week.
