DRIVE TO SUMMIT SCHEME The construction of a drive with a suitable entrance to the top of Mount Roskill, and tho development oftennis courts, a bowling green and a children's playground on the slopes of the mountain, were discussed at a meeting of tho Winstone Park Domain Board last night. "Tho view from the -top of Mount Hoskill is one of the finest in Auckland, and I look forward to the time when tourists will include a drive to the summit in their sight-seeing trips," said the chairman, Mr. C. M. McCullough. "A carriage-way to the top would put Mount Roskill definitely on the map." It was decided that the cost, of such improvements bo set againsl future revenue, and a special committee was set up to further investigate the project.
