NEW ZEALAND ATHLETE

According to London newspaper reports, V. P. Boot, of New Zealand, ran impressively in tho two miles relay event at the big athletic meeting between the United States and the British Einpiho on the White City track. Boot actually regained the lead for the Empire for a time over the Kfecoud stage, but he, too, was beaten by a devastating sprint on the part of an American, R. C. Young. America won in world's record time, 7m 35.85.
