CRICKET SELECTORS
OMISSION OF RICHARDSON After years of service V. Y. Richardson has been omitted by the cricket committee of the South Australian Cricket Association as a selector for the State team. The committee appointed Don Bntdman, C. W. Walker and H. M. Bridgman, after a vote had been taken. Except when lie was in South Africa last year leading the Australian eleven, this is the first year that Richardson liiis not been one of the South Australian selectors, almost since interstate cricket was resumed after the war. He was nominated. It is also the first time for many years that two of the three selectors are active players. It is understood that Richardson will bo availablo for interstate games, but not bo in a position to spare the timo for test matches if picked.
