SOUTH AUCKLAND EVENT [IJY TKLKtiUAPII—OWN CORKKSI'ONDKNt] TAUH.YN'GA, Saturday Preliminary arrangements in connection with the South Auckland brass bands contest to bo hold at Tauranga next Easter were finalised at a public meeting, hold last night. The Mayor. -Mr. L. I?. Wilkinson, presided. The following officers were elected: —General committee, the Mayor, Messrs. C. T. McFarlane, \Y. McKinnon, lv. J. Ronnie, A. IS', lies, I'. T. Keam, W. Diiimoiul, W. Vowlcss, Law, J. G. Ford, C. A. Turner, T. F. Kerridge. A. G. ishenvood, I. Milne, A. J. Gallagher and C. Tonkin; executive committee, .Messrs. lies, McKinnon, Ford, Mjlne, McFarlanc and Ronnie. It was announced that the musical adjudicator would be Mr. T. Gray, of Lower Hutt.
