PROSPECTOR'S DEATH
BODY FOUND IN HILLS FRUITLESS SEARCH RECALLED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] NELSON, Saturday The discovery is reported of the body of Mr. Donald Cameron, a gold prospector, who has been lost in the hills behind Takaka since early in May. Mr. Cameron, who was camped with a fellow prospector, left the camp intending to go to Anatoki Forks to obtain stores, but he failed to reach his destination. For several weeks parties conducted a fruitless search. The body was found on Wednesday near Paradise Creek by Mr. Jack Ross, a prospector. The body, which had evidently been frozen in the snow for some time, is being brought to Takaka. Mr. Cameron had a wife and family in Wellington.
