DEFENCE EQUIPMENT

PARADE IN WELLINGTON [by tei,ec;raph—press association] WELLINGTON, Friday A parade of anti-aircraft and other defence equipment was held in Wellington this afternoon, and attracted considerable attention. Two three-inch anti-aircraft guns, mounted on trailers and drawn hv six-wheeled lorries, occupied a prominent place in the procession. Thej' were followed by two sixwheeled searchlight lorries, eneh equipped with lights and generators. Two exhibits of particular interest in the procession were a "gangster" machine-gunner on a motor-cycle specially equipped by the Defence Department to carry quick-firing guns, and a niotorised Vickers machine-gun carrier of a type also specially developed by the department.
