PROPOSED SERVICE END OF CONFERENCE RF.PORTS FOR GOVERNMENTS AUSTRALIAN DELEGATES SAIL [nY —special eefomtp.'] WELLINGTON, Friday ' Although no official announcement is to be made for some time regarding tho outcome of the conference between British, Australian and New Zealand representatives regarding the proposals for ;i transtasnian air mail service, it is understood that finality has been reached on a number of important points, which have now to bo submitted to the Governments concerned for ratification. The conference, which has been sitting throughout the present week, was concluded to-day and the .Australian delegation, headed by the Commonwealth Minister of Defence, Sir Archdale Parkhill, left for Sydney by the Awatea this afternoon. Beyond stating that the delegates had decided on certain recommendations for submission to the British, Australian and New Zealand Govern, ments, the Minister of Marine, the Hon. P. Fraser, who presided over tho conference as deputy-Prime Minister, would say nothing to-night regarding the outcome of the discussions. Mr. Fraser admitted that substantial progress had been made in a number of important directions, but added that until the points covered by the recommendations had been referred to the various Governments for consideration any announcement regarding future policy would be' premature.
