CROQUET CLUB'S OPENING
PRESENTATION TO MEMBER A largo number of members and friends gathered flt the Mount Eden Croquet Club in Nicholson Park on Thursday afternoon for the season's opening. Mrs. Mullins, the president, welcomed the gathering. At afternoon tea a presentation was made to Mrs. Cowie, who is leaving shortly for England and the Continent. Progressive croquet was played, the winners being: A, Miss Keatley (highest score), Mrs. Macdonald (consolation); B, Miss Montgomery (highest score). Mrs. 1 arrant (consolation). The hidden number was won by Mrs. Cairns in a- draw with Mrs. Stewart.
