Miss Marian Moore, of New Plymouth, who has been visiting Auckland, has returned home. a Miss Betty Winthrop, accompanied by her sister, Gay, returned from Suva l?y the Mariposa yesterday. Mrs. G. J. S. Fisher left yesterday for Palmerston North en route by air for Christchurch and Timaru. Mrs. R. Stowo and Mrs. R. C. Anketell, of 'Wellington, who have been visiting Auckland, have returned south. Miss Betty Wallace, Ngaroma Road, Kpsom, is visiting Tauranga, and ik the guest of Mrs. M. Tanner. The Avenue. Mrs. Edwin C. East, of Opotiki, who has been the guest of her mother, Mrs. Q. Addison-McConnell, has returned home. Misses V. and M. Wilson, of Hamilton, sailed by the Mariposa yesterday on a holiday visit to Sydney and Melbourne. Miss Nancy Clark, of Waipawa, is visiting Auckland and is the guest of Miss Jean Wilson, Mountain Road, Remuera. Mrs. G. R. Hart, accompanied by Miss Dorothy Hart, will liiave tomorrow evening 011 a holiday visit to Wellington. Mrs. H. McKail Geddes, of Lucerne Road, Remuera, is spending a holiday in Australia. Mrs. Guy Williams and Miss Joan Williams, of Masterton, who have been spending a holiday in Auckland, leave by motor-car to-day 011 their return home. At Hotel Cargen are: —Mrs. A. C. Anderson (United States), Mrs. C. Montgomery (London), Mrs. M. S. Meyer, the Misses M. and R. Putman and Miss R. M. Stott (Wellington). At the Station Hotel arc:—Mrs. A. Watt (London), Mrs. W 7 . Deaus (Canterbury), Mrs. J. A. Marshall (Northern Wairoa), Mrs. M. W. Smith (Taumarunui), Mrs. G. S. West and Mrs. S. G. Frierson (Honolulu). The Bayswater-Belmont Women's Society held its monthly meeting at the clubhouse, Bayswater, Mrs. R. T. Reid presiding. All excellent demonstration of lamp shades and telephone doll making was given by Mrs. E. G. Brady. The guest of the afternoon was Sister Margaret, of the Brett Homo. The winner of the competition was Mrs. Brady, while the hostesses were Mesdames W. G. Thomas, B. Smith, A. Rambaud and H. W. Thomas.
